Northeast Pa. placed under a winter weather advisory Saturday – could see 5 inches of snow
On Friday at 11:49 p.m. a winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service valid for Saturday between 1 a.m. and 4 p.m. for Northern Wayne and Southern Wayne as well as Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.

Occasional light snow through Saturday evening, though a bit heavier in southern portions of Vermont.
Occasional light snow is likely tonight, Saturday, and Saturday evening, with a brief period of heavier snow in southern portions of Vermont late morning through early afternoon. Overall, it will be a bit slippery out there, especially south, but widespread travel impacts aren't expected. Total accumulation by Saturday evening will be a trace to an inch in the Champlain Valley, 1 to 3 inches for most of the region, and 3 to 6 inches in Rutland, Bennington and Windham counties. Localized amounts of 6 to 8 inches are possible in the Southern Green Mountains. Only scattered snow showers are expected on Sunday.
